Attorney Lawrence Tucker began his career by receiving his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University Graduate School of Business. He has over 20 years of legal experience, and has helped hundreds of clients resolve real estate, bankruptcy, tax, estate, and financial matters.
Before becoming a practicing attorney with Tucker, Nong and Associates, Lawrence worked with high net-worth individuals on wealth preservation at KPMG LLP. He then spent a year heading the Estate, Gift and Trust department for Aronson & Company, a top 40 accounting firm in Rockville, MD. He also served as General Counsel at Get Connected, Inc., a telecommunications company in Boston, Massachusetts.
In addition to his comprehensive knowledge of estate planning and trusts, Lawrence is also uniquely suited to handle foreclosure defense and bankruptcy cases. For the past 13 years, Lawrence has owned three different Washington Metropolitan Title Companies, serving as a title and settlement attorney, escrow officer, and title underwriter. As a licensed title agent in DC, MD, VA, and DE, Lawrence has conducted over 250,000 commercial and residential settlements.
As an owner and operator of three mortgage companies, Lawrence has personally originated 290 million dollars in mortgages in the 17 years he has held licensure. He has also assisted start-up and mid-size companies in raising $3 billion in seed capital through his affiliations with banks and hedge funds.
Lawrence has been published in the Journal of Taxation and Journal of Financial Products, and has lectured on estate planning for the Maryland Bar Association. A passionate collector of Belle Époque art, Lawrence loves to spend his free time with his sons, Ethan and Dylan.
