Attorney Lawrence Tucker received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA from Georgetown University Graduate School of Business. Lawrence received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he majored in English and Psychology. Lawrence has over 30 years of legal experience and has helped hundreds of clients.
Lawrence heads our Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIIJ) practice, and our spearheads our Maryland Legal practice. When the firm needs to pivot toward Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Defense, Lawrence handles the negotiations, creditor meetings, 341s, and bank negotiations. Tucker Law has handled these in many economic cycles, as they are proactive in protecting their client’s best interest. Likewise, Lawrence, handles the transfers of real property, and powers of attorney needed by client’s facing deportation.
Before becoming a practicing attorney with Tucker, Nong and Associates, Lawrence worked with high net-worth individuals on wealth preservation at KPMG LLP. He then spent a year heading the Estate, Gift and Trust department for Aronson & Company, a top 40 accounting firm in Rockville, MD. He previously served as General Counsel at Get Connected, Inc., a telecommunications company in Boston, Massachusetts.
As an owner and operator of three mortgage companies, Lawrence has personally originated 290 million dollars in mortgages in the 17 years he has held licensure. He has also assisted start-up and mid-size companies in raising $3 billion in seed capital through his affiliations with banks and hedge funds.
Lawrence has been published in the Journal of Taxation and Journal of Financial Products and has lectured on estate planning for the Maryland Bar Association. A passionate collector of Belle Époque art and oenophile, Lawrence loves to spend his free time with his Beagle, Ryder, and sons, Ethan, and Dylan. Lawrence and his family, love attending University of Michigan sporting events, as well as supporting their Washington, DC sports teams.
