DC Chapter Luncheon (Federal Bar Association)

Tucker, Nong and Associates is a proud sponsor of the monthly luncheon organized by the DC Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA). Every month, Tucker, Nong and Associates participates in a luncheon with Immigration judges and attorneys. Topics discussed range from unaccompanied minors involved in the border crisis to tax matters and implications of immigration processes. Other topics previously discussed were subjects on best practices for immigration attorneys, development of agency regulations, and reviews and comments on proposed legislation.

Guest speakers also make their way in attendance and on Wednesday July, 9th, Director of Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) gave his take on the immigration crisis.

The Employee/Labor Relations Unit of OGC advises agency managers on personal issues, defends Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) actions filed against the agency, monitors investigations conducted by the Office of Professional Responsibility in the Department of Justice (DOJ), and defends against unfair labor practice charges.

The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) also administers Attorney Discipline Program and the Fraud Program (PDF), and supervises the Certification Unit. OGC also serves as the principal point of contact for other DOJ offices and government agencies on all agency-related legal matters.
